Olive — Privacy Policy
Effective 3 July 2026
Olive is an IPTV player app for LG webOS TVs. It plays playlists that you supply; it ships with no content and requires no account.
What the app stores on your TV
Your playlists (names, M3U URLs, optional EPG URLs), favorites and the last-watched channel are stored only in the TV's local app storage. They never leave your TV except to fetch the playlists and streams you added.
What the pairing service processes
The optional "add playlist from your phone" feature uses this server (olive.lixo.dev). When you use it, we temporarily store:
- the playlist URL and optional EPG URL you submit from your phone,
- the 6-character pairing code shown on your TV,
- a random identifier generated by your TV for the pairing session (not linked to you or your LG account),
- the time the code was created.
This record is deleted at most 5 minutes after the code is created — sooner if the TV completes the pairing, which erases it immediately. Nothing is retained afterwards.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, names, or email addresses
- No viewing history or analytics
- No cookies
- No sharing or selling of data to third parties
Service providers
The pairing service runs on cloud hosting and temporary-storage providers that process requests on our behalf and may keep standard, short-lived operational logs (such as IP addresses). Web pages on this domain load the Ubuntu font from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving the font files.
